The drink is a reinterpretation of the famous Caipirinha, a Brazilian cocktail based on cachaça, sugar cane distillate. The alcoholic base is the ingredient that differentiates the two recipes: vodka for Capiroska and cachaça for Caipirinha.

– prefer white cane sugar because it melts better by mixing with the other ingredients.
– Depending on your taste, you can add two or three teaspoons of sugar.

To prepare the Caipiroska, place some of the ingredients of the cocktail on the work surface: brown sugar and lime, which you will crush together with a special pestle. First take a low tumbler and with the help of pliers put the lime cut into small pieces in it.


Then add the brown sugar. With the help of a pestle, crush the sugar and the pulp of the lime, in order to squeeze a part of the juice and spread its aromas. Rotate the pestle a little while pressing it on the two ingredients, so as to mix them.


At this point, coarsely split some ice cubes and place them in the glass together with the sugar and lime. You should fill the glass with ice.


Complete the drink by pouring the vodka over the other ingredients. Gently mix with a long-stemmed teaspoon in a bottom-up motion.


Garnish the cocktail with a lime wedge. Serve immediately. Your Caipiroska is ready.
