Recipe to prepare a delicious and particular dessert, prepared with mandarins, the seasonal fruit par excellence in the winter period, which we will prepare with caramel. A very simple recipe that you can serve after dinner to your guests.

Ingrediants

  • 1.3 kg of tangerines
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • water

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 250 °, then peel the mandarins, leaving three aside.
  2. Remove all the white threads of the tangerines, using a pointed knife, and cut them in half horizontally, removing all the seeds.
  3. Arrange the tangerines on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and sprinkle them with 2 tablespoons of sugar and put them in the oven for 10 minutes.
  4. Now let’s prepare the caramel: squeeze the juice of the 3 mandarins into a small bowl. Take a saucepan and pour the juice of the mandarins with the remaining sugar and 2 tablespoons of water.
  5. Stir with a wooden spoon until the sugar is light brown, it will take about 10 minutes.
  6. Remove the mandarins from the oven and arrange them on a serving dish, sprinkle them with caramel and let them cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
