L’German potato salad Where kartoffelsalat, is a simple and tasty recipe typical of Bavaria and of Tyrolean cuisine. A delicious salad, ideal for serving side to accompany meat or fish dishes; alternatively, you can serve it as appetizers or for a buffet: it is excellent both hot and cold. To do this, you will need to boil the potatoes, cut them into small pieces and season them with chive, Red onion, parsley, the vinegar wine, seed oil, mustard, salt, pepper and Beef broth, although to the original recipe it is possible to add Mayonnaise, yogurt or cucumbers, to make your German potato salad even richer.

For the preparation you prefer the yellow-fleshed potatoes, more compact: if you choose the red skinned ones, you can serve them with all the skin on. If you prefer, you can cook the steamed potatoes, instead of boiling them: in this case, cook already without the skin. You can also use vegetable broth in place of meat broth if you prefer.

Prepare the meat broth and keep it warm. Wash the potatoes and boil them in lightly salted water (1) for about 40 minutes or until softened. Once ready, drain, peel and cut into cubes (2). Chop the chives (3) and cut the onion into rings.
