THE garlic knot it’s a simple snack to prepare and really mouth-watering: a kind of very aromatic and versatile pizza sandwich. You can serve them as appetizers, accompanied by cold meats and cheeses, as an accompaniment to a aperitif or one brunch, but also as an accompaniment to a second course made from meat or fish. Preparing them is really very easy: all you need is a ready-made or homemade pizza dough, aromatic herbs and butter. In a few minutes you will have sandwiches delicious and original, to wow your guests or a gourmet snack to take to work. Here’s how to achieve them perfectly.
How to prepare garlic knots
Preheat the oven to 220 ° C. Lightly grease a mold and roll out the pizza dough; using a sharp knife, cut it into 12 equal parts (1).
To form the garlic knots, tie the strips, then tuck the ends under the roller (2).
In a bowl, combine the softened butter, garlic powder, parsley, oregano and Parmesan (3).
Brush half the butter and herb mixture over the buns (4) and bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Take the knots out of the oven (5) and brush with the rest of the butter.

If you prefer a more delicate snack, you can substitute pizza dough for puff pastry or shortcrust pastry. You can enrich then the recipe according to your desires: adding a veil of Tomato puree, a capers and chopped olives, from desalted anchovies.
You can keep your garlic knots in a cake container or closed in a paper bag; you can also freeze them individually by wrapping them with a film.
