How to prepare: Polenta flan

To make the polenta flan, start by seasoning the tomato puree in a saucepan with two tablespoons of oil, a little pepper and a few basil leaves. Meanwhile, cut the cheese into chunks.

Prepare the polenta according to the basic recipe. When the polenta is cooked, remove it from the heat, add the butter, milk, edam cheese and eggs and mix, taking care to mix all the ingredients well. Pour the polenta into a previously greased pan, level well and let it cool.

Cut the polenta into regular squares and arrange half of it on the bottom of a previously buttered baking dish. Spread a layer of tomato sauce on it, sprinkle with a little grated Parmesan cheese and add a few basil leaves. Cover with another layer of polenta squares and season this too with the tomato sauce, grated cheese and basil, finally adding a sprinkle of pepper and a drizzle of oil.

Brown in a preheated oven at 200 ° for about 10 minutes. Serve the polenta flan piping hot.
