Start preparing the soft peach and chocolate cake by melting the dark chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. Let it cool down. Meanwhile, whisk the soft butter, sugar and vanilla with an electric whisk. When the mixture has become frothy, add one egg at a time while continuing to whip. Now add the cooled melted chocolate and mix. Also add the flour, cornstarch, cocoa and baking powder and add them to the mixture, always using a whisk.

Cut two peaches into small cubes and add them to the mixture. Mix well. The other two peaches will be used for decoration: cut them into thin slices and sprinkle them with powdered sugar, so they don’t sink when cooked.

Line a 24 cm springform pan with parchment paper and pour the chocolate mixture. Decorate with the peach slices by placing them next to each other and also completing the motif in the center. Bake at 180 degrees for 35 minutes. If you used a smaller mold, cook for another 15 minutes: in any case, check the cooking by sticking a toothpick once 35 minutes have passed. Remove from the oven and let cool.
