THE biscuits treasurer they are simple and delicious sweets characterized by a soft dough decorated with di Granulated sugar And melted dark chocolate: the perfect cookies for breakfast and the nibble, accompanied by a cup of tea or coffee. It is a very common type of cookie in the 80 years, thanks to a well-known Italian confectionery brand, which many nostalgics miss.
Baking these cookies at home is very simple: the eggs must be whisked very well with the sugar, until a puffy and creamy foam is obtained, before adding the flour and cornstarch. It is therefore important to bake the cookies immediately, to prevent the mixture from breaking down. Once in the oven, cook them for ten minutes, until lightly browned, just like cat tongues, cookies that look the same in shape and dough. How to make treasure cookies
Whip the eggs with the sugar, salt, vanilla seeds and honey in a bowl with an electric whisk (1): this will take about 10-12 minutes or until a soft foam is obtained (2) . As soon as the whips do not sink into the mixture, add the sifted flour and starch and mix with a spatula by light movements from bottom to top (3), to avoid disassembling the mixture. As soon as the mixture is homogeneous, put it in a piping bag with the smooth 13 mm nozzle.
Form about 8 centimeters long strings on 2 baking sheets lined with parchment paper (4): space them out, as they will increase in volume during cooking and cover them with grains of sugar. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 10 minutes. Lower the oven temperature to 100 ° C and leave in the oven for another 10 minutes or until the cookies are lightly golden. Once ready, let them cool. Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave (5). Pour it into a pastry bag and make diagonal strips. Let dry well before serving. Your treasure cookies are ready to be tasted (6).
