Vodka sour has a fresh flavor and is made with vodka, lemon juice, sugar syrup and egg white, which gives the drink creaminess.
A couple of tips: use only very fresh eggs of organic origin and pay attention to the alcohol content of the smooth vodka (usually around 40 degrees). Among the ingredients there is the sugar syrup that you can make by combining two parts of sugar and one part of water.
The recipe calls for one double shaken of ingredients: the first time without ice and the second time with ice, in order to cool the cocktail. The ice-free shaking allows the egg white to mount, giving the drink its characteristic foam. To be served in a cup decorated with a slice of lemon, or a maraschino cherry. As gear get a colander, which is essential to filter the contents of the shaker into the glass.
Finally, this drink was born as a variant of Whiskey Sour, a cocktail based on Bourbon whiskey, lemon juice, sugar syrup, egg white, born in 1800 thanks to an English barman.

How to prepare: Vodka Sour


To prepare the Vodka Sour, put all the ingredients in a shaker without ice. Start with fresh lemon juice. Add the sugar syrup.


Then pour the vodka and egg white.


Shake the contents in the shaker for about 20 seconds. Add some ice.


For a second time, shake the shaker very quickly to cool the drink. Pour the cocktail into a glass or cup, filtering the contents with a colander.


Decorate as desired with a slice of lemon or a maraschino cherry. Your Vodka Sour is ready to be served.
