Sweet potato and onion pizza without tomato

Here is a pizza recipe with sweet potatoes and onion without tomato, suitable for those suffering from allergies or intolerances towards this food. And even if you usually eat classic pizza without any problems, it must be said that eating a good white pizza is always a delightful experience. The ideal is to prepare the pizza dough recipe and then use the sweet potatoes and lots of red onion to garnish it.


  • Ready pizza dough
  • 1 sweet potato
  • Half a red onion
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper as needed
  • 250 gr of mozzarella
  • 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of chopped fresh rosemary

  1. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees
  2. Peel and thinly cut the sweet potato and onion.
  3. Put them in a bowl, add a pinch of salt and pepper and half a tablespoon of oil, mix and set aside.
  4. Crumble the mozzarella and place it in a colander, so that it loses any whey.
  5. Take a fairly large pan and pour the vegetables into it.
  6. Place in the oven and cook for about 20 minutes, turning them a couple of times until the potatoes are tender.
  7. If you like, you can add finely chopped black cabbage to the potatoes.

  8. Raise the oven to 200 degrees.
  9. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface, make a disc that you will put in a baking tray dusted with flour.
  10. Grease the disc of dough with the remaining oil.
  11. Arrange the crumbled mozzarella and the sweet potato slices, onion and rosemary on top.
  12. Put the pizza in the oven for 10-15 minutes.
